Kevin Magee will talk about Istanbul cultural worker Banu Cennetoğlu and the universal human rights focus of her current installation, Right?, opening this year at  Boston’s MassArt Museum on September 30 and at Kanal in Brussels on November 28, by connecting Right? to four works featured in her 127-hour video  installation, HOWBEIT, showcased at Minneapolis’ Walker Art Center in 2025. Themes to be discussed at Shannon Ward’s community space, Good NAtured, https://goodnaturedsd.com/, on Thursday, September 17, include dignity for immigrants, freedom from violence, censorship and surveillance,  active mourning, and international solidarity.  The evening’s talk and discussion in Sioux Falls is dedicated to the memory of Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and all ICE documented and undocumented detainees and deportees.
